First, let me apologize for not updating this blog regularly.  As many of you know, I have recently enrolled in my first graduate class in mathematics (Abstract Algebra).  As a result, I do not have the free time at night to regularly maintain this blog.

I will try to push out an update from The Village "soon"; I have taken all of the screen shots, it's just a matter of captioning them and formatting the output.  Please stay tuned for that.  Now, on to the main topic of discussion:



Special Event: Dynamite Night
A number of people have approached me about the possibility of hosting a special "destruction" night on the server.  Now is your chance!  Tonight and only tonight, log in to blow up your favorite (or least favorite) building on the server!  I have created a backup of our current server, so tomorrow I will simply reload - you don't have to worry about any lasting effects.

Key points of information:

• The server will go online tonight at 7:00 pm.
• When you log on, there are three locations you can find supplies of TnT, redstone, switches and Flint&Steel.  At each of these locations, I have created "bunkers" of Obsidian with chests inside containing the supplies.
• "The Village":  The bunker of supplies is near the train station / nether portal
• "New Continent": The bunker of supplies is between the transcontinental tunnel and the giant enderman.
• "Old Towne": The bunker of supplies is on the wooden pier near my jack-o-lantern houses.

• Try to not blow up the area immediately surrounding the bunkers; everyone should have access to supplies.
• Please be considerate: please leave TnT for others to use too.
• Leave a few targets for other people to explode too.  It won't be very much fun if one person gets online and blows up everything immediately.  Conspire together.
• Bonus points for creativity.  Please take screenshots of your destructive plans (Pressing F1 (or fn+F1 on a laptop) removes the HUD, and F2 takes a screenshot).  Screenshots with how the TnT was set up, and what damage it did are extra-bonus.

I want to reiterate: this event is for tonight only.  I have considered this for a while, and here is a list of some targets I can see sabotaging:

• "The Village" (ALL the things!)
• Mike Technicolor House/Cacti

• Hoover Dam
• Pumpkin Patch
• John's Sky Garden and/or Tree

Oh, one last note.  Because I am completely evil, I have enabled PvP mode on the server for tonight.  Don't like that someone is rigging up your house for destruction?  Defend yourself!  Extra points for spawn camping.
